FIELD EXPERIENCE:
My direct practice experience has taken place in both the US and Colombia in the areas of child protective services, family development, women’s health, domestic violence, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. I worked for a women’s health care non-governmental organization based in Cali, Colombia as research department coordinator, where I was responsible for writing reports, writing grants, conducting research, and providing contraception information as part of a research project. Also, I was consultant for a program sponsored by a private Colombian organization and the Inter-American Bank of Development, where I provided assistance in the development and implementation of programs for low-income females heads of households. In the USA, I worked as social worker providing case management, in-home counseling, advocacy, and risk assessments.
