While sculpting a bust of Hank Williams, I discovered that as his face began to peek out from the clay; I got an inkling*. I have pondered the notion of a link between the artist and his deceased influences via a complex interplanar spiritual communication.

It may be possible that regional and genetic criteria have an effect on which spiritual antecedent (In this case, Hank Williams, Sr.) chooses or is chosen to communicate with an artist (in this case, Dave McPherson).

This performance deals with the idea of what I call "Semi-Positive Southern American Ectoplasmic Visitation." The performance consists of a multi-channel soundscape, hillbilly music, and classic western wear.

I plan to investigate this concept further and more effectively articulate the notion of a spiritual conduit between the artist and his muse, speaking strictly of my personal situation.
