My research program focuses on the information-seeking behavior of scientists in the electronic environment as well as information literacy of science undergraduate and graduate students. Recently I have begun to study everyday health information behavior and how it relates to the fostering and promotion of health literacy. I will be studying the information flow in health and fitness centers while on sabbatical in the in the University of Washington's iSchool as a Visiting Scholar during the 2009-10 academic year.
