Semester Project The semester project will involve a comprehensive modification of Gould Hall for the College of Architecture. The intent, through additions and rehabilitation is to provide space for all five divisions in one building. Semester Schedule:

Phase One: Data Collection (20%) Students in Section 001 and 002 will be assembled into four teams for Phase One work as outlined below.

1. Program
This team will be responsible for development of a comprehensive program for the College of Architecture to be housed entirely in Gould Hall. Interviews must be conducted with the OU Vice President for Information Technology, Campus Architect, Dean Fillpot, Division Directors and other appropriate individuals. Program materials must be assembled into a coherent document, identifying all spaces-both existing and new-for copying and distribution to each student.

2. South Oval Site Model
This team will be responsible for construction of a site model (1"=30') of the South Oval to incorporate both existing and projected buildings (if information on the new Journalism Building and Parking garage is available). Boundaries to be determined.

3. Existing Building Documentation This team must prepare accurate CAD drawings of Gould Hall including a site plan, elevations and sections. A floor plan is available (students of Professor Richard Ryan will assist with surveying). In addition the team will be responsible for a site and context analysis.

4. Analysis of Precedents This team will select recent campus buildings by distinguished architects for analysis. Each student on this team must prepare a 20"x30" graphic illustration.

Phase One Review: Review of the phase One (Data Collection) on Friday 09/8/00 @ 1:30pm in the Gallery. Walking Tour OU Campus: There will be a walking tour of OU campus on Monday 09/11/00 @ 1:30pm.

Phase Two: Conceptual Design (30%) Each individual will prepare an architectural concept for of the project. The following are required for this phase:
