Library Background
I have had working library experience as both
library paraprofessional staff and as a professional librarian. As a librarian I
have worked in both academic and public libraries and have done reference,
acquisitions, cataloging, and subject bibliography. At the University of
Illinois I also did an extensive amount of searching for holdings of rare Slavic
materials for the Interlibrary Loan office.

Libraries were also an important part of my childhood. By the
time I was in Junior High School I was volunteering in the School Library and
had decided to become a librarian. In Elementary School I frequently went to the
public library after school and spent many happy hours reading there.
