One of the coolest places to visit on earth has got to be Mahale Mountains National Park
on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. Access is by boat only (no roads at all).
It's very isolated, we stayed in funky cabanas on the edge of the forest by the beach
It's one of the few places left in the world where you can see Chimpanzees in the wild!!!
