We were lucky to be able to spend 4 days on safari in the Serengeti. We were in the western corridor near the
Grumeti River. We knew it was going to be good when we saw two lions up in a tree on our ride from the airstrip to our tented camp!!
A big chunk of the migratory herds of wildebeests were in the area. They'd come to the river to drink with their eyes peeled for hungry crocs......
maybe they should look over their shoulders more though!!
It's good to be King!!
Besides the predators and prey, we greatly enjoyed smaller animals like the black & white colobus monkey
the baboon
the jackal
Elephants
& the inimitable warthog!!
There is just something about an East African sunset
