DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, University of Oklahoma, June 2000 - present.
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating educational and interpretive programs at the museum, supervising the education department staff, writing grant proposals, and conducting independent ecological research.

SENIOR PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST FOR EXHIBITS AND EDUCATION, Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, University of Oklahoma, December 1999 - June 2000.
Researched and prepared recommendations for museum education programs, assessment of museum exhibits and programs, traveling exhibits, museum accreditation process, and museum business plan, as well as continued independent ecological research.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, University of Missouri-St. Louis, 1997 - 1999.  Postdoctoral project: Evaluating landscape-level effects of forest management methods on associated plant and animal communities in Missouri Ozark forests by integrating distributional and experimental data from 10 - 15 affiliated projects.  From August 1997 - July 1998, I conducted this research as a VISITING POSTDOCTORAL SCIENTIST at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) in Santa Barbara, CA.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, U.S. Forest Service, May - December 1996.
Collaborated to write a booklet on animals that migrate among Canada, United States, and Mexico, and participated in a project assessing metapopulation structure of migratory birds.

TROPICAL ECOLOGY COURSE CO-COORDINATOR, Costa Rica, Winter/Spring 1996.
Organized and taught a graduate course, Tropical Biology: An Ecological Approach, sponsored by Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS).

PROJECT DIRECTOR, Tamaulipas, Mexico, 1992-95.
Developed and directed collaborative study of avian community dynamics, including establishment of a long-term avian monitoring program (in conjunction with my graduate field work).

VISITING LECTURER, University of Texas at Brownsville, 1994.
Developed and taught field component of ecology course in El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, Tamaulipas, Mexico, for advanced high school students.

FIELD ASSISTANT, 1990-1991.
Participated in various ecological field projects in Missouri and Puerto Rico.

TEACHING ASSISTANT, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, 1990-1992.
Taught variety of subjects including general biology, ecology, and ornithology.

NATURALIST INSTRUCTOR, St. Louis Zoological Park, St. Louis, MO, 1988-90.
Developed and taught a variety of conservation and ecological interactive programs for school children and the general public.
