Beginning Latin I (LAT 1115)
Course Description:

This course introduces Latin as a written and spoken language, and as the source of many English words. Students will encounter authentic Latin in prose, poetry, and song. Textbook readings and exercises will improve the students’ knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The sight translation of sentences and passages emphasizes reading comprehension.

Beginning Latin II (LAT 1215)
Prerequisites:

Beginning Latin I (LAT 1115) or two or more years of high school Latin.
