Oklahoma

The AntLab is part of the  Dept of Zoology at the University of Oklahoma.  OU has a rich and storied history as a home for organismal biology, with a large and diverse faculty in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (use EEB's web page as an entry point to the three EEB facilities--the Museum of Natural History, the Biological Survey and Field Station), and Zoology's sister department--Botany/Microbiololgy. Our new Graduate Program in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology will be available soon. The state of Oklahoma spans a 3-fold precipitation gradient, generating a range of biomes within a day's drive from campus. However, a core group of ecologists (Fincke, Kaspari, Vitt, Caldwell, and Mares) do much of their research in the Neotropics.
