Synopsis: Period drama based on a true story from 1940s Spain, updated to 1958. After finishing military service, Paco sets off to find work in Madrid, leaving behind his girlfriend Trini in his hometown. In Madrid he embarks on an affair with his landlady and becomes embroiled in the low-life of the district, but the virtuous Trini tries to re-enter his life, with tragic results.
