"The idea that a film should have a 'message' is sheer nonsense.  I feel that The Day of the Beast may have an antifascist message, but that's because I still don't know how to make good movies.  Santiago Segura and I are attempting to create a perfect form of stupidity, just plain fun, without a single message whatsoever."
