Norman Maynard received his Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Oklahoma. His research interests include using Bayesian econometrics to understand the basic facts of economic development, and the permanent effects of short-run shocks, especially in developing countries.

Dr. Maynard is a member of the American Economic Association and the Southern Economic Association.
