The University of Oklahoma campus is served by the Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City. General information regarding flying into and out of Will Rogers World Airport is available at http://www.flyokc.com.
VANS:
Airport Express/ Metro Express operates vans to and from the airport. From the airport, these shuttles can be taken without reservations with a purported eight minute maximum wait time. The drivers can accept cash and credit cards. Service is also available to the airport with a reservation 24 hours in advance. The cost for a one way trip between Will Rogers and the University of Oklahoma is $33 for one person. Each additional person adds $3 to the total cost of the trip, e.g. a group of three would pay $39 total for a one way trip. Excessive luggage and extra stops cost extra.

TAXIS:

Checker Cab/Yellow Cab service is available both to and from the Airport. Average cost from the Airport to the University is $50-55. Please call Checker Cab/Yellow Cab at (405) 236-5551 for more information.
BUSES:
Bus service from Will Rogers to the University campus is possible, but difficult. One possible route is to take Bus Route 29 from the airport to 23rd and Meridian, with an approximately 20 minute drive time. After a 10 minute wait, Bus 29 will arrive and will arrive at the State Capitol 20 minutes later. After another 10 minute wait, Bus 24 will arrive and arrive at the university campus 20 minutes later. Bus routes generally end by 7:00PM or so and often are different on the weekends, so please plan accordingly.

RENTAL CARS:
Many companies have rental cars available at Will Rogers World Airport. Please go to http://www.flyokc.com/index.aspx?page=rental for a list of companies operating out of the Airport and for links and phone numbers to make reservations, get price quotes, or for more information.
Amtrak Service is available daily on the Heartland Flyer from Oklahoma City to Norman. Cost is $5, and reservations are required. One train runs each way each day. Train 821 leaves OKC at 8:25AM and arrives in Norman at 8:49AM. Train 822 leaves Norman at 8:53PMand arrives in OKC at 9:39PM. Keep in mind that transportation will be required from the Airport to the train station in OKC and from the train station in Norman to the University. Cab service from the Airport to the OKC train station averages $20-$25. The Philosophy Dept. can provide transportation from the Norman train station to the University.
Attendees in the Dallas/Fort Worth area can also take the Heartland Flyer from Fort Worth, TX to Norman. Cost is $26 one way. Train 822 runs daily leaving Fort Worth at 5:25PM and arriving in Norman at 8:53PM. Train 821 runs daily leaving Norman at 8:49AM and arriving in Forth Worth at 12:39PM. Keep in mind transportation will be required from the train station in Norman to the University. The Philosophy Dept. can provide transportation to and from the station.
