Kali's Home Page
Kali is my black Labrador Retriever. I found the name in a
book that said Kali was Sanskrit for "Black Goddess". Later, however,
I found that
Kali
is actually the black Hindu
goddess known as "The Destroyer", as a naked wild woman who slaughters
in ecstasy, the loving destroyer of illusion and the estatic slayer of
demonic qualities. Whatever. As a puppy with razor sharp teeth and an
unlimited supply of energy, my Kali certainly proved
"The Destroyer" portion of the name to be quite descriptive.
Here is my little "black goddess" in one of her more destructive moods. :)
