Two hills close to the Ka`ba in
Mecca, between which Ishmael's mother Hagar ran frantically back and forth
looking for water after she was expelled from Abraham's
household. The hills are now enclosed in a walkway that juts out from the
Grand Mosque, where pilgrims retrace her steps during the hajj.
