A collection of Hebrew texts dating to between 1200 and 200 B.C.E.
It is known to Jews as the Tanakh, an acronym which indicates its three parts: Torah (the first five books, attributed to Moses), the Nevi'im (Prophets), and the Ketuvim (Writings).
Christians call it the Old Testament, and count it part of their Bible (along with the New Testament, and, for some, the Apocrypha).
